Leadership Boise

Leadership Boise (LB) has, and continues to seek, the best, brightest, most energetic and interested participants. As one of the longest running Chamber sponsored leadership programs in the United States, LB has graduated more than 1,500 business and civic leaders since its inception in 1975.

Through monthly day-long sessions, participants receive an intensive examination of the Boise area, how it has developed and how it works. New perspectives for creative leadership are developed with the goal of giving participants the foundation needed to expand their leadership roles in the community.

  • Enhance and develop knowledge and understanding of our community, its complexities and its potential.

Class size is limited and the application process is competitive. Each year, up to 54 participants are selected to join this distinguished program. Please check with your company to see if an internal process exists for selecting a candidate. Participants and their organizations must be willing to commit one day of each month to the program. Those selected will participate in all aspects of the two-year program: attending required sessions the first year and planning Leadership Boise and Leadership Boise Academy sessions in year two. The second year of the program is the most time-intensive due to planning meetings for upcoming sessions.

The Application Process

The application process begins every year in February. Participant selection is made on the basis of a written application and a personal interview.

The application will be available in mid January. If you would like to be placed on the interest list, please contact Erin Erkins at eerkins@boisechamber.org.

Deadline: April 13, 2018
